CRAIG KELMAN & ASSOCIATES Scholarship

The Craig Kelman & Associates Scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to a person aspiring to work in water and/or wastewater systems operation. The successful candidate must have achieved good grades in secondary [high] school, must have participated in volunteer activities in community organisations, and must intend to take formal education in a recognised operator training program as offered by NAIT, SAIT, SIAST, Red River College or other accredited post-secondary institution.  The award is currently $500.

Craig Kelman & Associates is the publisher of Western Canada Water Magazine, the official magazine of WCW professionals across Western Canada [Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut].

  • Describe highest grade/level achieved; i.e., Grade 12 or 1st year technical college etc; also provide a copy of your most recent report card or transcript showing the grades/marks you have achieved
  • If Applicable
  • i.e., which college or educational institution are you planning to attend, and in which program are you going to enrol?
  • list those past and present in which you have been involved and highlight those in which you played an active leadership role.
  • NOT DIRECT FAMILY MEMBERS
  • describe your short- and long-term career objectives, i.e., water plant operator, sewer system maintenance worker, public works superintendant, etc
  • Attach a MS Word, PDF or Text document with why you are interested in a water/wastewater career, and what is motivating you to join our industry; write between 250 and 500 words.
