CRAIG KELMAN & ASSOCIATES Scholarship

The Craig Kelman & Associates Scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to a person aspiring to work in water and/or wastewater systems operation. The successful candidate must be enrolled in a recognised operator training program as offered by NAIT, SAIT, SIAST, Red River College or other accredited post-secondary institution and reside in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Northwest Territories or Nunavut. Additional consideration will be given to those with a history of volunteer activity or community service. The award is currently $500.

Craig Kelman & Associates is the publisher of Western Canada Water Magazine, the official magazine of WCW professionals across Western Canada [Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut].

Deadline for application is February 1

Winner will be contacted in April and will be featured in the Summer issue of the WCW magazine.

Applications with missing or incomplete information will not be reviewed.

  • List those past and present in which you have been involved and highlight those in which you played an active leadership role.

  • Describe your short and long-term career objectives, i.e., water plant operator, sewer system maintenance worker, public works superintendent, etc.
  • Describe why you are interested in a water/wastewater career, and what is motivating you to join our industry; write between 250 and 500 words or attach a MS Word, PDF or Text document below.
