Regina Water Comes Out On Top!

The 66th Annual Western Canada Water Conference and Exhibition: Stronger Together was recently held in Regina, Saskatchewan from September 23-26, 2014.  The annual conference is a forum to exchange ideas, experiences and discuss water and wastewater topics in one location.

One of the special events held during the conference was the Waterville Taste Test.  The taste test involved the sampling of water from three (3) major cities: Edmonton, Calgary, and Regina (Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant).  Each water sample was rated from 1 to 5 on a number of categories. There were four (4) independent judges sampling the different waters.  At the end of the day, the water sample from the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant (Regina) was victorious!!!

The winning water sample is now eligible to partake in the international competition at the AWWA ACE Conference in Anaheim, California in June, 2015.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE STAFF AT THE BUFFALO POUND WATER TREATMENT PLANT!!
