Corix Utilities Inc. invites applications from candidates with proven skills, qualifications and abilities for the regular full time position of Utility Operator Level 2 in the BC Interior region. This position may be based out of Kamloops or Kelowna. Corix Utilities undertakes the construction, operation, and maintenance of multi-utility systems serving various resorts and residential communities throughout BC. Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate, inspect and service equipment in water and wastewater;
Perform preventive maintenance and ensure maintenance and system records are accurate and up-to date;
Interpret lab results and evaluate plant operation and systems performance against performance objectives; investigates and undertakes corrective action where necessary;
Undertakes routine repairs to water treatment/distribution and wastewater treatment/collection systems;
Operates related maintenance tools and equipment including utility-related computer programs
Hours of work will include weekends and on-call.

Working Conditions:
Work in plant and field environments; some exposure to wastewater, chemicals, hazardous materials, and noise; heavy lifting/moving, standing, climbing. May work at heights, in confined spaces, and in inclement weather.


EOCP certification in Water Treatment Level III, Wastewater Treatment Level III, Water Distribution Level II, or Wastewater Collection Level II required, multiple certifications desired;
Minimum of 7 years’ experience and post-secondary education or related training is required;
Familiarity with mobile, LIMS, CMMS and WQIMS technology and applications required;
Experience with membrane water treatment and/or BNR wastewater treatment is an asset;
Field experience in electrical or mechanical trades an asset;
Proven safety track record and experience performing hazard assessments and developing safe work practices is desired;
Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills;
Valid driver’s license; must be able to provide driver’s abstract;
Demonstrated record keeping and ability to communicate via email using MS Outlook.
