WCW Winter Issue – Present and Future Wastewater Issues

2013winterCoverWCWThe theme of the WCW Winter  issue is Present and Future Wastewater Issues.   Theme-related articles include:   Trends In Wastewater Treatment, Innovation – A Double-Edged Sword, Evaluating Constructed Wetlands at CFS Alert, Cryofront: The Future of Wastewater Treatment in Alaska, and Lagoon Upgrade Meets Ammonia Limits.

The issue also includes a recap of the recent 65th Annual WCW Conference and Exhibition held in September in Edmonton AB.  As some of our boards switched leadership at the conference, you will see some new faces in the Director reports as well as Timo Jansen’s first WCW President’s Message.

We have a few new features in the issue: Guess Where? and a WCW Crossword.  This issues ‘Working in Water’ Profiles feature Stewart Schafer, Director of Public Works & Engineering for the City of North Battleford, SK and and Wolf Keller, Director, Water Resources, (2004 – 2013) City of Calgary.  Wolf  was honoured with the WCW William McKay Honorary Life Membership at the opening session at the Annual Conference.  We will have more awardee profiles in future issues of the WCW Magazine.
