The Alberta WaterPortal has a very interesting blog this week By Hana Mason – ‘From Latrine to Otohime: A blog worth reading on the toilet!‘. From the Roman sewer goddess to inovative smart toilets in Japan, its a very interesting read on the history and future of the lowly and indispensable toilet. Reading the blog reminded me of a grade school report I once did on a great inventions in history – I chose the toilet (perhaps an indication of my future work path?!). Alas my report was pre Google/Wikopedia so I just had the offerings of the school library and our home copy of Encylopia Britanica and my report lacked many of the details in this offering.
The post will enhance your knowledge of the throne you use daily. To read the blog click here and have a Happy World Toilet Day!
